M8T Services Pty Ltd offers an all-inclusive car rental service designed for your convenience, covering most on-road costs including registration, insurance, and routine maintenance. Below is a detailed breakdown of our fees and charges, ensuring you have all the information you need for a worry-free rental experience.
Upfront Fees and Security Deposit
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit, ranging from $500, is required as a guarantee against the vehicle. This deposit covers any potential end-of-rental costs and is fully refundable within 10 business days post-rental, provided all contractual obligations are met.
Payment Methods
We accept payment via credit/debit card and bank direct debit. Initial charges, including the security deposit and any applicable establishment fee, will default to the card used during the rental booking process.
Cancellation and Early Termination
- Cancellation Notice: We require a 14-day written notice for rental termination. Failing to provide notice or early termination incurs charges, detailed below.
- Early Return Fee: Charged if the vehicle is returned before the agreed rental period ends, comprising the remaining rental charges or a predefined fee, whichever is less.
Additional Fees and Charges (Including GST)
- Late Fee: A $30 fee is applied for payments overdue by more than 7 days.
- Refueling Fee: A $55 fee, plus the cost of fuel, is charged if the vehicle is not returned with a full tank.
- Repair and Maintenance: Unauthorised repairs or failure to notify us of a vehicle fault may result in charges to cover damage or loss.
Insurance and Damage Cover
- Damage Excess: In the event of an accident, theft, or third-party loss, a Damage Excess fee, specified in your rental agreement, may be charged. Additional excess applies for drivers aged 21-24.
- Exclusions: Damage Cover is void if the rental contract’s terms are breached, including unauthorised drivers, driving under the influence, or failure to report an accident as required.
Roadside Assistance and Additional Support
- Included Services: Our rentals come with roadside assistance for mechanical issues. However, certain situations, such as battery problems or flat tyres, may incur a service charge.
Legal and Administrative Details
- Our rental contracts are governed by the laws of New South Wales, with comprehensive terms including electronic signatures, amendments, and the importance of adhering to the Australian Consumer Law.
Final Notes
- Vehicle Usage: Strict guidelines are in place regarding where and how the vehicle can be driven, including prohibitions on unsealed roads and high-risk areas.
